7-Day Podcast Launch Bootcamp

Colin Gray, founder of The Podcast Host, is going to take you by the hand through 7 videos and lessons to help you launch your first episode.

What you’ll learn

You will learn how to plan your show, what equipment you need, and how long your episodes should be. We will show you the exact steps to record, edit and publish your show to the world.

7 days of videos and tasks, learn exactly what to do and what not to do. Launch your podcast at last!

I know, planning is boring… but if you don’t know who you’re speaking to, then neither does anyone else. Let’s find our ideal audience and entice them in!

On to the shiny things! Equipment can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. The best thing you can do is to keep it as simple as humanly possible. Aim for a base level of quality, and then concentrate on consistency.

How long & How Often Should I Podcast?

You’ll hate this, but it depends! And the power of podcasting is that you can go as long or as short as you like. But… if you want a few ‘rules of thumb’ here we go:

Another place where it pays to keep it simple: recording! The most common methods are to record an online call, or to record yourself into your own computer.

How much should you edit a podcast? In the early days, as little as possible! When recording, treat it as if it’s a live broadcast. Don’t stop for anything, and only edit the big mistakes. That’s how to stay consistent and improve your presentation skills.

There are two parts to publishing: your podcast, and your website. The podcast needs to be delivered via a podcast hosting platform, and the website will provide a home for your show online, with episode players and shownotes.

The last step is listing your show for search! Apple Podcasts is king, but Spotify & Google Podcasts are worth it too.
